Baghdad and Tehran discuss cybersecurity, the digital economy, and cross-border frequency interference.

The Minister of Communications Mustafa Sand discussed today, Monday, with his Iranian counterpart Star Hashimi several joint files in the fields of communications and technology, most notably cybersecurity, the digital economy, and service applications, in addition to addressing frequency interference in the Iraqi provinces adjacent to Iran, and enhancing partnerships in the field of science parks.

A knowledgeable source told the "Video News Agency" in a press interview that Minister Mustafa Sand arrived in the Iranian capital, Tehran, where he was welcomed by his Iranian counterpart Star Hashimi, who affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing gratitude to the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people for their hospitality and generous reception during the Arbaeen visit ceremonies, as well as during the funeral rites of the leader of the Islamic Revolution.

He added that Minister Mustafa Sand called for enhancing cooperation and scientific solidarity between the two countries, which contributes to preparing a generation of competencies and elites capable of leading the communications sector and the digital economy in the coming years, emphasizing the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge in technical and scientific fields.

He continued: In a related context, the opening ceremony of the "Camp" exhibition was launched, with the participation of the Iraqi and Iranian Ministers of Communications, alongside several officials and stakeholders in the field of communications and technology.
