The spokesman for the Iranian armed forces, Brigadier General Sardar Shakarchi, confirmed that the hostile media affiliated with the Zionists and Americans are part of his country's military targets.
Shakarchi stated in a press interview reported by Iran's Mehr news agency and followed by the News Video Agency that Iran faces a "global media empire" that possesses the latest media technologies, pointing to significant financial investments in this field.
He said, "Media outlets like BBC, Iran International, and Radio Farda are directly linked to Mossad and the CIA and receive guidance and support from them."
He added that these outlets should not be considered genuine media, regarding their employees as "soldiers of Zionism and America," and stated that they "can be targeted militarily" as those institutions are part of the enemy's media system.
Shakarchi criticized the role of these media in inciting and spreading violence, emphasizing that media should contribute to enhancing the psychological security of society instead of harming it.
He concluded his statements by stressing the necessity of expanding communication with global public opinion, affirming that confronting the media war cannot be limited to the Persian language, and that it is essential to engage with the world’s peoples by various means to expose the criminals.
