Al-Zaydi presides over the Million Land Pieces Initiative meeting and issues an urgent directive.

The Prime Minister, Ali Falih Al-Zaydi, directed the relevant authorities from the ministries and provinces on Monday to expedite the completion of the procedures related to the initiative for one million housing plots and to implement it, praising the level of achievement in sorting and allocating land for families that do not own property or residential land. The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the News Video Agency that Al-Zaydi chaired a meeting of the Supreme Committee for the One Million Housing Plots Initiative to follow up on the stages of project implementation and the rates of achievement accomplished across all provinces. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the project in addressing the housing crisis and providing the requirements for adequate housing for citizens, appreciating the extraordinary efforts made by the steering committee and other committees, as well as the great cooperation demonstrated by the governors, which contributed to achieving significant progress in a short period of time. The Prime Minister was briefed on a detailed presentation about the stages of project implementation presented by the Director of the Prime Minister's office, who is also the head of the steering committee for the initiative, covering the procedures that have been implemented and the rates of achievement in each province, as well as the necessary measures to accelerate the pace of work on this project, which represents a large-scale developmental experience and is the first of its kind in Iraq of this size.
