The Disciplinary Committee of the Iraqi Football Association decided today, Monday, to consider Al-Talaba Club as losing with a score of (0-3) against Nawruz Club and to suspend assistant referee Karrar Abdul Amir from duties for one round, based on the competition and disciplinary regulations.

The committee stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that it convened to review a complaint from Nawruz Sports Club regarding their match against Al-Talaba Club in the third round of the Iraq Stars League, which had previously ended with Al-Talaba winning (1-0).

It was clarified that Nawruz Club claimed that Al-Talaba Club had committed a clear violation by fielding two players wearing the same number (77) at the start of the second half, noting that the committee reviewed the supervisor's report, the referee's report, and video clips to verify the incident.

It added that the review proved that the players entered and ran on the pitch before one of them alerted the other to exit and change the shirt to the correct number (17) with the assistant referee's knowledge and without the knowledge of the center referee while the play continued, which constitutes a violation of Article 42 of the competition regulations that prohibits assigning the same number to players and considers the club to lose with a score of (3-0).
