The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the Ministry of Planning called on small and medium-sized enterprise owners and entrepreneurs wishing to participate in the fourth Arab Summit for Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship to register through the designated electronic platform today, Monday.
The Ministry of Planning and ESCWA stated in a joint statement received by the News Video Agency that the registration aims to complete the participation of project owners and benefit from networking opportunities, showcasing projects, and entrepreneurial experiences.
This summit is the leading regional platform led by ESCWA to support small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship in the Arab region, bringing together decision-makers, entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, accelerators, innovation institutions, representatives from the private sector, universities, academic institutions, innovation centers, international organizations, and development partners to enhance cooperation, exchange experiences, and develop solutions and policies that support the growth of this vital sector.
This session comes as a continuation of a successful journey that started with the first summit in Jordan in 2022, followed by a second in Morocco in 2023, and a third in Qatar in 2024, establishing its position as a regional platform for dialogue and partnerships. Its latest edition resulted in commitments from partner institutions to provide support for small and medium enterprises in the Arab region exceeding 300 million US dollars.
This year's edition is held under the theme: "Accelerated Growth and Sustainable Entrepreneurial Success," focusing on empowering small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship to transition from potential to expansion, by enhancing access to financing and markets, utilizing digital transformation and artificial intelligence, building strategic partnerships, and developing policies and regulatory frameworks that support innovation and sustainable growth.
