The coaching staff of the Iraqi national youth team (under 20), led by coach Ahmed Salah, announced on Sunday the list of players called up for the Asian U20 Cup qualifiers.
The list includes players: Hussain Adnan, Ammar Ali, Hussain Mohammed, Mohammed Bashir, Sajjad Jassim, Mohammed Rahman, Abdul Razak Ali, Karrar Kazem, Ali Idris, Sajjad Hussein, Mohammed Haidar, Ali Reza Haidar, Mohammed Haidar, Ali Khalid, Youssef Jassim, Ali Akbar Amir, Redha Bashar, Aws Ghazi, Abbas Kata, Yasser Wisam, Zain Al-Abidin Jassim, Ma'mun Malik, and Mustafa Salam.
The Iraqi youth team is competing in Group 6, which takes place in Chonburi, Thailand, from August 31 to September 6, along with the teams of Turkmenistan, the UAE, and the host country, Thailand.
The Iraqi U20 team will start its competitions by playing three matches, all held at Chonburi Stadium.
The "Lions of the Euphrates" will kick off their journey by facing the Turkmenistan team tomorrow, Monday, at 11:30 AM Baghdad time.
In the Arab match-up, the Iraqi youth team will meet their Emirati counterparts on Thursday, September 3, at 11:30 AM Baghdad time.
The team will conclude its matches with a face-off against the host team, Thailand, on Sunday, September 6, at 3:30 PM Baghdad time.
