Iraqi youth national team coach Ahmad Salah confirmed the importance of the qualifiers for the U-20 Asian Cup, noting that all teams participating in group six have chances and the ability to compete for a qualification spot.
Ahmad Salah stated during the press conference preceding the launch of the group six qualifiers hosted in Chonburi, Thailand, that the main goal of the Iraqi youth team is to qualify for the finals of the Asian Cup.
He added that "the team has held an external camp in preparation for the continental challenge, with great enthusiasm from the players to present themselves well and achieve the desired goal."
The youth coach continued that the competition will not be easy, emphasizing the need for focus and treating all matches seriously, given the closeness of the participating teams' levels.
In this context, a coordination conference for the sixth group qualifiers for the U-20 Asian Cup was held today, Sunday, with the participation of the Iraqi youth team in Chonburi, Thailand.
The conference discussed organizational and logistical aspects related to the group's matches, attended by the director of the Iraqi youth team, Nadim Karim, where the colors of the participating teams' kits were determined for the matches.
The Iraqi youth team is scheduled to wear the full white kit in their first match against Turkmenistan, while they will appear in the full green kit against the UAE, and will wear the full white kit again in the final match against the Thai team.
The qualifiers for the U-20 Asian Cup will kick off tomorrow, Monday, with the Iraqi youth team participating in group six alongside Turkmenistan, the UAE, and Thailand, which is hosting the group's matches.
