Caught red-handed .. Integrity takes down an impersonator of an investigator from the authority in Diyala.

The Federal Integrity Commission was able to apprehend a suspect who impersonated an investigator in the Commission's Investigation Department, exploiting the alleged title to extort several governmental departments for personal gain. The Commission clarified in a statement received by the Video News Agency that information had reached the Diyala Investigation Office indicating that an individual had impersonated an investigator in the Integrity Commission - Investigation Department and used it to extort several government departments. It added that the office's team, after conducting investigations and follow-ups, set a well-prepared ambush for the suspect in coordination with the Directorate of Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism in Diyala and the National Security Directorate in the province, confirming that the operation resulted in the suspect being caught red-handed at his residence. The Commission indicated that a proper seizure report was organized during the operation and presented along with the suspect to the specialized Investigation Court judge for integrity cases, who decided to detain the suspect pending investigation under the provisions of Resolution (160 of 1983).
