The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Adnan Faihan Al-Dulaimi, held an extensive meeting today, Sunday, with the presence of Deputy Mukhtar Al-Moussawi, with a representative of the Diwan Committee for Kidnapped Persons, and representatives from the Holy Hussaini Shrine and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, to discuss the first amendment to the law on Yazidi survivors and other components. Faihan emphasized "the importance of coordination between the relevant authorities and parliamentary committees to expedite the completion of discussions concerning the legal amendment, in preparation for presenting it on the agenda of upcoming sessions and voting on it, which contributes to ensuring the legal rights of the victims." He stressed "the necessity of unifying and verifying the data, which supports addressing the issues related to the amendment and ensures the inclusion of those entitled according to legal frameworks."
