The parliament moves to discover the fate of an Iraqi officer who was kidnapped in Saudi Arabia six years ago.

Today, Saturday, Deputy Hamid Abbas Al-Mousawi requested that Prime Minister Al-Zidi intervene directly with the Saudi authorities to know the fate of an Iraqi officer who has been detained in the kingdom for six years, with no news about him whatsoever.

According to the official request received by the "News Video Agency," the deputy addressed Al-Zidi regarding the case of the officer "Major As'ad Hamid Al-Harishawi" affiliated with the Ministry of Interior / Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency, noting that Al-Harishawi was arrested by Saudi authorities while performing Umrah six years ago.

Al-Mousawi indicated that the officer's family and parents have not received any official information regarding his legal status or whereabouts since all news about him ceased, urging the Prime Minister to direct the relevant authorities to act through sovereign and diplomatic channels to ascertain his fate, secure his release, and return him to his homeland and family.
