Oil Minister Mohsen Baknejad commented on the President's speech at the United Nations General Assembly, stating that the President demonstrated that the Iranian people will not hesitate to defend their independence.

Baknejad stated in a post that "the courageous, decisive, and intelligent speech of Dr. Bezhakian in New York once again showcased the strength and dignity of our beloved nation to the world. The President showed that the Iranian people, appointed by their own choice, will not surrender in defending their independence and will thwart all of the enemies' malicious plans in the context of unity."
