Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that U.S. President Donald Trump informed him that he has made a decision to allow Ukraine to produce Patriot air defense missiles, after a long discussion regarding this matter.
Zelensky stated in an audio recording days after his meeting with Trump in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, "In our last meeting, President Trump confirmed to me that he has made a final decision. Ukraine will receive licenses to produce Patriot missiles."
Zelensky mentioned that India, Turkey, Egypt, and other countries in the Middle East are involved in discussions aimed at resolving the navigation crisis in the Black Sea.
Zelensky told reporters in a briefing via WhatsApp, "Egypt, India, Turkey, and representatives from the Middle East, I have had separate talks with the leaders of these countries, and our foreign ministry has been in contact with their counterparts in those countries."
He added, "Alongside these countries, there have also been proposals from other nations to lift the blockade of the Black Sea."
