Lavrov and Iraqji emphasize the necessity of resolving regional crises through diplomacy.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, during his meeting with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, emphasized the need to reach a diplomatic resolution to the crisis in the region.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced this morning, Friday, after the meeting between Lavrov and Araghchi on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, that both sides stressed that there is no alternative to a diplomatic solution to the crisis that has arisen in the region as a result of American and Israeli actions. The meeting began without preliminary statements to journalists and continued behind closed doors.

The ministry's statement said, "The meeting addressed important regional and international issues, focusing on developments related to Iran. Both sides affirmed that the crisis resulting from the illegal actions taken by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran can only be resolved through diplomatic means.”

The two ministers also discussed the implementation of the bilateral agreements reached during the meeting of the two countries' leaders in Bishkek earlier this month. According to available information, Lavrov and Araghchi coordinated the agenda for upcoming communications between Russian and Iranian officials at various levels.
