Due to the rise in diesel prices .. European warnings of a harsh winter

The European Union warned of the harshest winter since 2022 with a surge in diesel prices, prompting the European Commissioner for Energy to urge U.S. President Donald Trump not to ban diesel exports to avoid a crippling fuel crisis.

European Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen stated that Europe faces the harshest winter since 2022, and these warnings come amid record-breaking diesel fuel prices over the past few weeks, with a surge of 40%.

Jørgensen added that "this season will be extremely cold, possibly the worst on the continent since the previous crisis," calling on the "U.S. President not to impose a ban on diesel fuel exports to Europe."

He announced his intention to raise this issue on the eve of the meeting of the EU energy ministers in Dublin next week, pointing out that maintaining U.S. energy supplies to the continent at previous levels serves the interests of both parties.

The European Commissioner concluded his statements by saying that the most likely scenario is the continuation of very high prices, emphasizing that fuel availability is useless for those unable to afford it, as the inability to purchase renders the matter of availability of no real value to them.
