The Commander of the Border Guards in the Internal Security Forces, Brigadier General Ali Akbar Javidan, confirmed that trade and economic activities on the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran with neighboring countries are ongoing continuously and without any obstacles, thanks to the tireless efforts and capable presence of the courageous Border Guards.
During the ceremony to introduce a new commander for the Border Guards in Ilam province, Brigadier General Javidan stated that “the ultimate victory will be with the front of Islam, and there is no doubt that these enemy attacks will also fail, with God's help and grace.”
He added that “the American and Zionist enemy has mobilized all its capabilities in the West Asia region, thinking that establishing numerous bases around the Persian Gulf would secure the safety of its forces; however, this strategy has failed, as acknowledged by their experts and analysts.”
The Commander of the Border Guards in the Internal Security Forces described the responsibility of the Border Guards in protecting Islamic Iran as “unique,” noting that the Border Guards are responsible for protecting 8,775 kilometers of the Islamic Republic of Iran's borders, expressing pride in serving the citizens and performing their duties in this regard.
Brigadier General Javidan confirmed that during the enemy's attacks and recent wars, not a single border market was closed, and despite the enemy's efforts to undermine security, border activities in economic, social, and cultural fields have continued in the best manner, with all border areas today witnessing a remarkable flourishing of trade and commercial exchange.
He considered the influx of millions of visitors for the Arbaeen pilgrimage through the border provinces, including Ilam province, to be another manifestation of sustainable security in Islamic Iran, despite the extensive borders with different countries.
He added that “the Border Guards, in addition to their military and defensive role, play an effective role in border diplomacy, working in cooperation with executive officials to fulfill the rights of residents in border areas.”
