An Iraqi quadruplet breaks the world record at the Nagoya Asian Games and wins the gold medal.

Iraqi weightlifter Ali Ammar won the gold medal today, Tuesday, in the snatch event at the Asian Games "Nagoya 2023", after successfully lifting 219 kg, breaking the world record in the event.

Ammar delivered an outstanding performance during the competition, excelling over a group of elite weightlifters from the Asian continent, adding a new achievement to the record of Iraqi sports at the continental event.

This achievement is the result of the intensive preparations undertaken by the Iraqi weightlifter under the supervision of national team coach Ammar Yasser, along with the continuous support provided by the Iraqi National Olympic Committee.

Winning the gold medal and breaking the world record in the snatch competition is a significant accomplishment for Iraqi sports at the Asian Games "Nagoya 2023".
