Iranian President Masoud Bezhaskian confirmed on Monday that there is no point in negotiating with Washington amid ongoing assassinations and daily sanctions, emphasizing the need to expand relations with Armenia in trade, science, culture, and technology.
The Iranian presidency stated in a communiqué accessed by the News Video Agency that Bezhaskian received the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, indicating that the problem with the United States lies in the war being imposed as soon as negotiations begin, as the country has been attacked three times following talks, which proves their insincerity in seeking dialogue.
Bezhaskian clarified that the Iranian people do not accept a negotiation approach with an enemy that resorts daily to assassinations, sanctions, pressures, and threats, and continuously breaches its commitments, calling for mutual support between Iran and Armenia to develop their bilateral partnership.
For his part, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade affirmed that cooperation between the two countries is progressing well on the international stage and that Armenia continues to strengthen its relations with Iran despite the sanctions, noting that his country loves peace and is committed to achieving it despite the challenges of this path.
