Hezbollah clarified today, Friday, that what happened in the Galeries Samaan area was due to a security forces patrol conducting a raid in a security-sensitive area, without adhering to the agreed-upon procedures, while considering the sensitivity of the security situation in the southern suburbs of Beirut amidst ongoing Israeli threats and risks.
The party's media relations stated in a statement received by the News Video Agency that after making the necessary contacts with the competent authorities and legal references and clarifying the circumstances, the patrol continued its work normally and calmly, to execute the request issued by the Public Prosecutor, based on a referral from the Minister of Public Health Rakan Nasreddin, and when the Lebanese army arrived, matters had returned to normal.
It added that the party has no connection to the mentioned warehouse or its contents, neither closely nor remotely, confirming its commitment to the health and safety of citizens and supporting the actions of the Ministry of Health, in addition to its commitment to enabling security forces to carry out their duties and natural role.
