The prices of Iraqi and foreign gold rose in local markets in Baghdad on Saturday and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

A correspondent for the News Video Agency reported that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in Baghdad recorded a selling price for one mithqal of 21-carat Gulf, Turkish, and European gold at 976,000 dinars, with a buying price of 972,000 dinars, while last Thursday it was 970,000 dinars.

The agency's correspondent indicated that the selling price for one mithqal of Iraqi 21-carat gold was 946,000 dinars, while the buying price was 942,000 dinars.

As for the prices of gold at jewelry stores, the selling price of one mithqal of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 975,000 dinars and 985,000 dinars, while the selling price of one mithqal of Iraqi gold ranged between 945,000 dinars and 955,000 dinars.

In Erbil, gold prices also recorded an increase, with the selling price of one gram of 22-carat gold reaching around 1,034,000 dinars, 21-carat gold around 988,000 dinars, and 18-carat gold around 846,000 dinars.

Gold is priced at jewelers according to a mathematical equation that includes the global price of the ounce and the local price of the dollar.
