The coach of Al-Talaba team, Iranian Ali Reza Mansourian, decided to delay his decision to leave the team following a meeting that brought together Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Haidar Al-Husseini with the club's administration, players, and coaching staff to discuss the financial crisis the club is facing.
A source from Al-Talaba club stated, in a statement followed by the News Video Agency, that Mansourian had decided to leave after the team's match against Gaz Al-Shamal, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, as part of the 13th round of the Iraq Stars League, due to the delay in the disbursement of financial dues and his inability to continue working under the difficult circumstances the team is experiencing.
He added that the recent meeting resulted in the Minister of Higher Education directing the disbursement of the delayed financial dues for the club's players and coaching staff, according to a specific timeline starting next week, indicating that this decision prompted the coach to reconsider his position and delay his decision to leave, especially since he is keen to continue working with the team.
It is expected that in the coming days, the complaint filed by the players of Al-Talaba against the club's management regarding the delay in the disbursement of their financial dues for nearly eight months will be withdrawn.
