Shams Al-Baroudi is considered one of the most prominent icons of Egyptian cinema during the sixties and seventies, where she presented a large number of famous cinematic roles, before making the sudden decision to completely retire from the artistic field in 1985 while at the peak of her fame and stardom.
Al-Baroudi married the late artist Hassan Youssef and has remained away from the spotlight and media for many years, relying on her personal account to send limited messages to her fans and followers.
