The Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the capital Baghdad held a screening of the Iranian film "Natour Dasht," translated into Arabic, today, Saturday, as part of activities to promote cultural and cinematic cooperation and exchange between Iraq and Iran.
The theatrical director Wajehi Mahdi told Video News Agency that the story of the film, drawn from reality, had a significant and profound impact on the events, noting the distinctive feature of Iranian cinema being its realism and reflection of human life, as well as offering intellectual and psychological treatments for society.
Mahdi added that the film aimed to address the human psyche from pressures and negative repercussions, illustrating the victory of truth no matter the circumstances surrounding it. He emphasized that the audience’s interaction and cleansing of emotions were evident after the screening, as was the attendees' response to the humanitarian message of the work.
For his part, Hadi Al-Rubaie thanked the Iranian Cultural Counselor for organizing the event, praising the direction, program beauty, and the high performance of the actors.
Al-Rubaie confirmed to the Video News Agency that the scene of the forest guard finding the lost girl was one of the most impactful and expressive moments, hoping for the continuation of these activities to familiarize the Iraqi audience with Iranian cinema and strengthen the artistic cooperation between the two countries.
