A specialized institute in Babil Governorate celebrated the graduation of a new batch of children with autism and special needs, demonstrating their ability to be integrated into kindergartens, schools, and society.

Special education specialist Sara Rashid told the Video News Agency that educational staff have succeeded in rehabilitating a group of children and preparing them for the educational and social stages after their struggles and battles with the disorders and difficulties they faced, expressing her pride in the achievement of the children and her hopes to see them in progressive ranks in the future.

For her part, the grandmother of child Saif Hasan Abd al-Kadhim told the Video News Agency that her grandson, who has Down syndrome, has shown significant improvement in his energy, speech, and ability to engage and communicate with his family and peers at home and on the street, following his enrollment and visits to specialized treatment and rehabilitation centers in the city of Hilla since the age of three.

Dr. Dakhel Nasser Taha confirmed to the Video News Agency that the children have achieved great success through their patience and challenges against their circumstances, calling on parents to compare their children's development from yesterday to today, and urging government institutions, educational bodies, universities, and the local government in Babil to provide special care for these groups and ensure a distinguished status for them in society, revealing that there is ongoing communication and joint studies with offices and institutions in America and Iran to develop work and enhance the institute.

In the same context, a citizen confirmed to the Video News Agency that the graduation ceremony represents a significant achievement for Babil Governorate and for Iraq, calling on the government, the provincial council, and the social welfare department to support specialized centers and continuously monitor and develop the children's abilities without limiting it to this stage.
