Economic expert Safwan Qusay confirmed today, Sunday, that the priority of spending during 2027 will be to reduce foreign imports and enhance the role of the private sector.

Qusay stated in a press interview that "the Ministry of Finance is trying to expand in-kind spending, and there are jobs that need to be filled," noting that "jobs in the private sector will be more than in the public sector."

He added that "it is possible for the equilibrium price of oil to reach 60 dollars per barrel," indicating that "the government is conservative in estimating the value of oil revenues so far due to changes in the quantities exported."
