The head of the executive body at the Communications and Media Commission, Baleegh Abu Kallal, confirmed today, Sunday, that Iraq is fully recovered and capable of protecting its security by land, air, and sea.
Abu Kallal stated during the celebration of the National Sovereignty Day by the Communications and Media Commission, according to a statement received by the News Video Agency, that the military, political, and security sovereignty that has been achieved must be accompanied by digital sovereignty in which the authority contributes.
He added that there are three challenges facing Iraq that require a responsible media role; these include the internal challenge of avoiding what incites disputes among Iraqis and monitoring those who stir sectarian, national, or religious tensions while ensuring criticism and freedom of expression without harming the components of the people, as well as the file of international relations ensuring that the media does not harm Iraq's regional and international relations.
The head of the executive body continued that the third challenge is manifested in confining arms to the state to eliminate the specter of sanctions and international isolation from the country, urging the commission's members and citizens to actively participate in supporting the state.
