The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Fadhil Al-Badrani, revealed today, Monday, that 10 million tourists entered Iraq during the past year 2025.
Al-Badrani stated in a press interview that "the statistics concerning tourists entering Iraq are officially recorded at the National Center, the Ministry of Interior, border crossings, and airports, and all of their outputs reach the Tourism Board and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities."
He added that "tourism activity during the year 2026 is expected to be limited on a global scale and in the region due to the security circumstances and challenges surrounding the country. However, the situation in the past year 2025 was different and exceptionally good, as Iraq recorded the entry of approximately 10 million tourists, divided between heritage and religious tourism."
Al-Badrani confirmed that "this number is significant compared to previous years."
