The third edition of the International Food Exhibition of Iraq kicked off today, Sunday, in the capital Baghdad, with the participation of a large number of chefs and participants from various countries around the world.
The festival's president, Chef Abbas Firas Naji, told the News Video Agency that this third edition comes from its founders, as the food exhibition aligns with the cooking festival, representing a convergence of ideas and cultural exchange between countries, with competitors from diverse Arab, foreign, and regional nationalities participating. He pointed out that strict international standards and measures were adopted, and efforts are being made to uphold Iraq's reputation, while hoping for government support for these initiatives.
For his part, the participant in the festival, Chef Omar Hafiz, confirmed to the News Video Agency that the Iraqi Cooking Festival's third edition takes place after the editions in Sulaymaniyah and Erbil to be held in Baghdad, bringing together various types of cooking, including meats, fish, pastries, and folk heritage.
He noted the participation in the dolma competition, as well as competitions for hotels and restaurants, to showcase the talents and capabilities of restaurants, chefs, and young people, emphasizing that cooking primarily depends on technique, skill, and adherence to rules.
