Saud Al-Saaedi appeals to the Federal Court against the decision to raise the dollar against the dinar.

Deputy Saud Al-Saadi announced today, Sunday, that he has filed a complaint before the Federal Supreme Court against the Cabinet Decision No. (544) of 2026, concerning the increase in the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar, demanding that the decision be subjected to constitutional review.

Al-Saadi stated in a statement received by "Al-Fideo News Agency" that the complaint comes in light of the economic and social repercussions resulting from the increase in the exchange rate, which imposes additional burdens on citizens, especially those with limited income, amid its impact on purchasing power and the standard of living.

He confirmed that the purpose of the complaint is to subject the Cabinet's decision to constitutional and judicial oversight, while it is expected that the Federal Supreme Court will set a date to consider it.
