The delegations of Al-Zawraa and Erbil clubs are heading to Qatar and the UAE, in preparation for two matches in the Gulf Champions League for the 2026-2027 season.

Al-Zawraa will travel to the Qatari capital Doha to face Qatar Club on Tuesday, October 13, in the first round of the group stage, while the Erbil delegation will head to the UAE to meet their host Ajman on Wednesday, October 14, kicking off their journey in the tournament.

The group stage competitions will start on October 13, 2026, following a home-and-away format, and will continue until February 17, 2027. The quarterfinal matches will take place between March 2 and March 17, with the semifinals and the final match scheduled between April 23 and April 30, 2027.

The draw placed Al-Zawraa in Group B alongside Qatari club Qatar, Emirati club Al-Nasr, and Bahraini club Al-Riffa, while Erbil was placed in Group C alongside Saudi club Al-Ettifaq, Emirati club Ajman, and Kuwaiti club Kazma.

The top team from each group and the runner-up will qualify for the quarterfinals, in addition to the two best teams that finish in third place.

Qatari club Al-Rayan won the title in the last edition, after defeating Saudi club Al-Shabab in the final match.
