Member of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, stated that "Saudi foreign ministry's statements about de-escalation in the region contradict its ongoing aggression, blockade, and escalation against Yemen."

Al-Houthi noted that "the Saudi foreign ministry's claims about its pivotal role in establishing regional security contradict its actions of killing, besieging, targeting, and occupying Yemen." He considered that "the real action that Saudi Arabia must take is to stop its aggression, lift the blockade, and withdraw from our country," demanding "an end to the aggression, lifting of the siege, and compensation for the Republic of Yemen for what has been destroyed during the years of aggression since 2015 until today." Warning against dragging Egypt into a new war, Al-Houthi pointed out that "what is called 'Defense of Mecca' is an attempt to present Saudi Arabia as concerned for peace in the region while it continues its aggression against Yemen," warning of "the entrapment of Egyptian forces into a new war that depletes their capabilities and serves the Israeli enemy's plans to seize Sinai." He said, "We are not afraid of any new alliances and affirm that these alliances should be directed towards confronting the Israeli enemy that declares war on the peoples of the region," emphasizing that "Egypt, Turkey, or Pakistan should not support the continuation of aggression, blockade, and occupation against Yemen."

Regarding navigation, Al-Houthi confirmed that "we do not pose a danger to Bab al-Mandab; rather, we protect it just as we protect the Suez Canal and other parts of our Arab and Islamic homeland." He also reaffirmed that "the intimidation from vague and unannounced threats is manufactured by American, British, and Israeli intelligence to continue the fighting in the Arab and Islamic world," adding, "If America knew that the new alliance affected its interests or Israel's interests, it would be the first to confront and order its cessation." Al-Houthi pointed out that what is called the "Alliance of Mecca" serves "American and Israeli hegemony projects in the region and opposes the free ones who resist this policy," calling on the alliance members "to withdraw from it and not engage in aggressive alliances against our country," directing efforts "towards defending Palestine and liberating the region from American and Israeli hegemony." He hoped that "the ongoing meetings contribute to achieving peace in the region," reiterating his rejection of "the continuation of aggression and occupation and the commission of crimes against our people."

Al-Houthi concluded: "We are not advocates of war but advocates of freedom, independence, and real peace that achieves the interests of our homeland, our people, and our nation." Source: Agencies #Mohammed_Ali_Al_Houthi #Saudi_Arabia #Yemen
