Iranian President Masoud Bezhkishan confirmed today, Wednesday, that the Iranian people, in all its segments, are the fundamental pillar for the resilience of the country and foiling the enemies' plots aimed at sowing discord and tearing apart national unity.
In a televised conversation directed to the Iranian people on the occasion of the second anniversary of his presidency, which the News Video Agency reviewed, Bezhkishan stated that the enemies despise anything that symbolizes Iran's capabilities, stability, and innovation, pointing out that his government has faced many challenges since day one. However, the collective efforts of all sectors of the regime and the people have made Iran recognized today as a strong and dignified state.
The Iranian president emphasized that the criteria for assigning positions in the state should be based on competence, integrity, and qualifications, not on comradeship in arms or sectarian discrimination, affirming that the government's duty is to treat all citizens fairly regardless of their beliefs, opinions, gender, or ethnicity.
Bezhkishan noted that the martyrdom of the country's leaders and scholars was painful, pointing out that the enemies planned to seize Iran in a short period, as they did in other regions. However, the unity of the people and state institutions prevented them from achieving their goals.
