A member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly's leadership, Ali Reza Salimi, announced today, Thursday, that the initial draft of the strategic action plan to ensure the security and prosperity of the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf is under review by the National Security Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
Salimi stated in a statement reviewed by the News Video Agency that the plan includes a ban on the passage of ships belonging to the United States, the Zionist entity, and hostile countries through the Strait of Hormuz, in addition to preventing military or civilian shipments related to the Zionist entity or ships involved in operations against the resistance front.
He added that the plan includes a ban on the passage of countries and individuals that have caused damage to Iran until compensation is paid, imposing fines of up to 20% of the shipment value on violators, and obligating the government and armed forces to take responsibility for directing navigation, monitoring ship movements, and protecting the environment.
