The head of the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, chaired an expanded security meeting on Thursday, attended by the Chief of Staff of the Army, the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, operational leaders, and police to discuss the mechanism for implementing the directives of the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ali Falih Al-Zidi.
The Security Media Cell stated in a statement received by the News Video Agency that the meeting discussed raising readiness from the borders to operational work in all areas of the country, emphasizing that Iraq should not be allowed to be a launching point for any internal or external threats to any country.
Al-Shammari emphasized during the meeting the importance of intelligence effort and quick response to information, as well as unifying the media discourse, combating rumors, and adhering to instructions to maintain security and stability.
