The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, confirmed today, Friday, that the issue of Palestine is not a sectarian matter but rather an Islamic, national, and humanitarian one, calling on Arab and Islamic countries and their peoples to unite and not stand idly by in the face of the challenges confronting the region.
Sheikh Qassem stated in a speech delivered during a ceremony held to commemorate the birth of the Greatest Messenger in the southern suburb of Beirut, as reported by the News Video Agency, that the region must be secure through mutual understanding among its countries to limit arrogance, recalling the disappearance of Imam Sayyed Musa al-Sadr and his companions, and his stances that considered the Zionist entity as an absolute evil and his exceptional interest in southern Lebanon and political and social reform.
The Secretary-General reminisced with pride about the Master of the Martyrs of the Ummah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who always emphasized the characteristics of the Imam of Resistance and Islamic Unity, confirming the continuation of the path of Imam al-Sadr and Sayyed Nasrallah in confronting aggressive projects.
Sheikh Qassem warned of the existence of an American-Israeli project aimed at controlling and fragmenting the region and laying the groundwork for the establishment of what is known as Greater Israel by exploiting the subjugation of some, emphasizing that Iran and the resistance forces face this project and that the enemies have not and will not succeed in achieving their goals.
