"Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Polytechnic".. Unlimited digital education focusing on future skills

The President and Founder of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Group, His Excellency Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, launched the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Polytechnic" project on Wednesday.
The digital launch event included local, Arab, and global participation, with the attendance of a group of academics, thinkers, media professionals, and specialists in the technical field.
Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Polytechnic" represents a "global project" in the field of education, based on his belief that education is a human right that should not be limited by geography or nationality, emphasizing that the project was launched in the digital space to be accessible to every person in the world.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that the project stems from his conviction and deep belief in the necessity of bringing fundamental changes to the existing educational system, especially in the Global South, in order to ensure that generations are prepared to participate in shaping the future.
He explained that the idea for the project dates back to 1995, when he was elected at the United Nations as the head of the Education Standards Expert Team and as the head of the Education Development Team, noting that since that time, he has carried the message of working on developing an educational model that meets humanity's aspirations and fulfills what the United Nations has called for in the field of education.
Abu-Ghazaleh confirmed that the "polytechnic" is not a replacement for traditional academic education nor a competitor to it, but rather a parallel educational platform aimed at bridging the gap between educational outputs and labor market requirements, by focusing on practical and technical skills alongside theoretical knowledge.
He pointed out that the knowledge era necessitates a shift from the traditional education concept based on testing students' memorization abilities to a digital learning system that stimulates creativity and innovation among students, which is what the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Polytechnic" aims to achieve.
He noted that the world today is experiencing a massive "knowledge revolution," highlighting that the failure of educational institutions to keep pace with the demands of this revolution is one of the primary reasons for unemployment, and that the "polytechnic" was established to prepare graduates with the scientific and practical skills necessary to engage in the labor market and enter the knowledge world with the highest levels of qualification and training.
Abu-Ghazaleh explained that the project originated from the Arab world in harmony with the region's heritage, emphasizing that the first university in the world was Al-Qarawiyyin University, and confirming that the project is dedicated to all humanity on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, which falls on August 19.
Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Polytechnic" will make knowledge available to all individuals at the highest levels of quality and efficiency, regardless of their location, in a way that saves them the effort and costs of traveling to receive high-quality education.
He revealed that the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Polytechnic," even before its official launch, already includes six colleges in practical specialties related to the knowledge economy, offering 240 educational programs, with the number of students enrolled reaching 250, in addition to graduating 52 students before the official project launch.
He added that the institution has already begun to forge partnerships with universities and educational institutions, aiming to digitally offer its programs to the world while simultaneously benefiting from the academic programs provided by partner universities, stressing that the project's goal is not competition, but rather to prepare students for the labor market in the knowledge era.
Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Polytechnic" will provide students and participants with the vast majority of programs worldwide in the field of digital education, making them available to anyone who wishes to study digitally and graduate digitally and work digitally.
Abu-Ghazaleh emphasized that there are undeniable facts, including that technology only moves forward, and that knowledge is the future of wealth creation, asserting that those who possess the tools of knowledge, with artificial intelligence at the forefront, will control jobs.
He concluded his speech by saying that the project's launch constitutes a "historic day," as it is the fruit of work that has continued since 1995, culminating in presenting it to the world in its current form.
The importance of this project lies not only in providing a high-quality educational service but also in its focus on developing the student's practical skills and enabling them to apply the knowledge they have acquired in a practical way that stimulates their creativity.
The "polytechnic" focuses on the applied and practical side, preparing individuals who have the ability to innovate and lead change in the knowledge era in which we live.
What distinguishes the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital Polytechnic" is its focus on qualifying students in the specialties and professions of the future, with programs designed to enhance job opportunities in fields such as "artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, and digital transformation."
