"Waste" on paper.. revealing of waste exceeding 77 million dinars in Zurbatiya

The Zurbatiya border crossing authority thwarted, today Tuesday, an attempt to waste public funds by more than 77 million Iraqi dinars after seizing two trucks loaded with materials that were declared as "garbage bags."

The authority stated in a statement received by the "Video News Agency" that the seizure operation was carried out based on the approval of the judge of the Badrah investigative court, at a search and investigation point outside the customs area, noting that after inspection and review, it became clear that the two trucks were carrying "shopping bags" subject to local product protection procedures.

It clarified that the seized materials led to a waste of public funds exceeding 77 million Iraqi dinars.

The authority added that an official seizure report was organized, and the two trucks and the seized materials were referred to the Zurbatiya customs police station to be presented before the judge of the Badrah investigative court to take the necessary legal actions.
