A number of citizens and graduates in Basra Governorate made an urgent appeal today, Tuesday, to Prime Minister Ali Falah Al-Zaydi and Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani to include them in job openings and to launch professional opportunities in the governorate.

Representatives of Basra's residents stated in an appeal sent to the Video News Agency that the youth of the governorate have been struggling to find job opportunities over the past years, despite previous rounds of job openings. They emphasized the necessity for the federal and local government to open the door for appointments either as ministerial contracts or daily wages to accommodate the aspirations of young and skilled energies.

The appeal urged the Prime Minister and the Governor of Basra to take into consideration the living conditions of unemployed youth and to provide fair job shares for Basra Governorate that meet the aspirations and professional entitlements of its citizens in new projects and government departments.
