The parliamentary education committee clarifies the objectives of organizing schools for the gifted and emphasizes protecting public schools.

The head of the parliamentary education committee, Zuleikha Elias Al-Bakkar, confirmed today, Tuesday, the achievement of an agreement with the Minister of Education to reorganize the mechanism for outstanding schools within a legal and educational framework. This aims to enhance student skills without harming public schools.

Al-Bakkar stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that the main goal of the submitted recommendation is to support outstanding students and provide an educational environment that matches their abilities, similar to that of gifted and talented schools, while ensuring fair admission standards and avoiding the transfer of large numbers of students or teaching staff that could affect the stability of public schools.

Al-Bakkar added that the committee emphasizes the adoption of a centralized and transparent mechanism for admission and transfer that prevents personal interpretations and limits financial and administrative exploitation. She pointed out the cooperation with the Ministry of Education to formulate a comprehensive vision that maintains the integrity of education and ensures the right of all students to fair educational opportunities and equal chances, away from decisions that negatively impact the educational environment.
