Basra crude jumps above $100 as global oil prices rise

The price of Basra crude jumped to over $100 per barrel on Tuesday evening, coinciding with the rise in prices of several global crude types.

Basra heavy crude recorded $102.57 per barrel, up $6.99, equivalent to 7.31%, while Basra medium crude reached $105.87, with an increase of $6.99, or 7.07%.

Thus, the two Iraqi crudes surpassed the $100 per barrel mark, amidst gains that included West Texas Intermediate crude, which rose to $104.55, and Brent, which reached $107.88, while the OPEC basket recorded $123.11 per barrel.
