A tribal dispute ends with the arrest of 12 people in Mosul.

The Security Media Authority announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of 12 suspects following a tribal altercation in Mosul.

The authority stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that "the security forces in Nineveh, represented by the provincial police department, managed to uncover the full details of the altercation that was circulated by some social media sites recently in the right side of the city of Mosul," noting that "12 suspects were arrested and the charges against them were classified according to the law."

It added that "the incident occurred on 12-9-2026 in the Al-Nahrawan neighborhood (Tink) of Mosul, following family disputes and previous legal claims between cousins belonging to the same tribe, which escalated after heated exchanges and insults and extortion on the TikTok platform."
