An investment alliance that includes Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo from Saudi Al-Nassr is preparing to make an offer to purchase the club from the Saudi Investment Fund, in a move that could see the team captain become one of the owners of the club he plays for.

According to the Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the alliance comprises five investors, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, along with Gerry Cardinale, CEO of RedBird Capital Partners and owner of AC Milan, Ibrahim Al-Muhaideb, Mohammed Al-Khereiji, and Sharaf Al-Hariri.

The newspaper pointed out that the financial plan requires each member of the alliance to commit to investing at least 100 million dollars, meaning injecting no less than 500 million dollars into the deal and the structure of Al-Nassr.

The report added that representatives of RedBird Capital Partners and the investment alliance will hold a meeting with officials from the Public Investment Fund within the next 48 hours to determine the fund's position on relinquishing control of Al-Nassr's shares.

If the negotiations succeed, Ronaldo could become both a player and a co-owner of Al-Nassr at the same time, an unprecedented move in the Saudi league, while the final decision remains dependent on the results of the upcoming negotiations between the alliance and the Public Investment Fund.
