Agricultural production in Turkey has seen significant growth, amid calls to expand foreign markets to accommodate surplus crops, with Iraq, Russia, and Europe being traditional markets for Turkish agricultural products.

Turkish Agricultural Engineers Association President Fahmi Kiraz stated in a press release reviewed by "Video News Agency" that the increase in the production of fruits, beverages, and spices reached 57.8%, which has helped mitigate large price increases in the local market and provide products for consumers.

He added that the increase in crop yields from field crops and orchards is due to favorable climatic conditions and the efforts made by farmers, noting the need to manage production surplus through appropriate marketing strategies that ensure benefits for farmers and the country.

According to the report, Iraq, Russia, and Europe represent traditional markets for Turkish agricultural products, with calls to create new markets in the Gulf, North Africa, Central Asia, and the Far East to accommodate production surplus.
