An administrative error costs Iraq a second loss in the Asian Mini Football Cup.

The Iraqi national futsal team received its second defeat in the Asian Cup held in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, after failing to arrive on time for the match against Thailand due to the late arrival of the Iraqi delegation.

The organizing committee decided to count the match result in favor of the Thai team with a score of (5-0), without the match taking place on the field, resulting in another blow to Iraq's participation in the tournament.

The administrative loss came after the team’s delegation was delayed in reaching Jakarta, having left the capital Baghdad just a few hours before the match was scheduled to start, which prevented their attendance on time.

This incident raises questions regarding the management of Iraq's participation and the logistical preparations for the tournament, especially since the team lost the match off the field despite the efforts and expenses involved in their preparation and participation.

The Iraqi team has two remaining matches in the tournament, where they will face Bangladesh and India, hoping to achieve positive results and compensate for their previous losses.
