The value of French exports to Iraq was approximately 184 million dollars during the first half of 2026, according to trade data from the International Trade Center, showing a marked growth between the first and second quarters of the year.
The data indicated that French exports reached 78 million dollars in the first quarter, before rising to 106 million dollars in the second quarter, an increase of 28 million dollars, with a growth rate of about 35.9%.
Pharmaceuticals and therapeutic preparations topped the list of French exports to Iraq at a value of 27.3 million dollars, followed by cereals, flour, starch, milk, and similar food products at about 22 million dollars.
The value of cosmetics and skincare products was around 10.4 million dollars, while boards and electrical equipment used in control and distribution of electricity recorded about 14.2 million dollars.
French exports also included aromatic materials and mixtures valued at 6.8 million dollars, alcoholic beverages at 5.6 million dollars, as well as milk and cream at approximately 5.1 million dollars.
In industrial and medical sectors, tractor exports reached about 3.3 million dollars, and X-ray devices and medical equipment totaled 3.6 million dollars, while gas, liquid, and electricity supply or production meters recorded around 2.2 million dollars.
The list of French exports to Iraq also included electric batteries, cheese, yogurt, smartphones, along with a range of other products.
The increase in exports during the second quarter reflects an expansion in trade movement between the two countries, with a clear diversity in French goods heading to the Iraqi market, including pharmaceutical, food, industrial, and medical products.
