A delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, headed by the Director General of the Legal Department, Ahmed Hadi, discussed with the Egyptian Minister of Labor, Hassan Raddad, ways to enhance mutual cooperation between the two countries in several labor-related fields in a statement received by the news agency Video News.
During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the Iraqi delegation's participation in the 52nd session of the Arab Labor Conference held in Cairo, they explored opportunities for collaboration in vocational training and rehabilitation, as well as organizing and facilitating labor movement between Iraq and Egypt.
The meeting addressed prospects for cooperation in vocational training and rehabilitation and the development of workforce skills to meet labor market needs, alongside discussing mechanisms for organizing the movement of labor between the two countries and benefiting from shared experiences and practices.
The head of the delegation emphasized the necessity of strengthening Iraqi-Egyptian cooperation in labor, employment, and vocational training issues, pointing to the importance of exchanging experiences and practices and developing training programs that contribute to enhancing workers' skills and qualifications in line with labor market requirements.
Hadi also pointed out the need to organize and activate the labor movement between Iraq and Egypt, and to establish clear mechanisms that help facilitate the movement of workers and protect their rights, achieving the mutual interests of both countries.
For his part, Egyptian Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad confirmed the continuation of coordination with the Iraqi side and the exchange of experiences in the fields of vocational training and employment, supporting job opportunities and enhancing cooperation between the two countries on labor issues.
