The overthrow of three suspects involved in antiquities trafficking and the seizure of 3 archaeological pieces in Babylon.

Babel – The Babel Provincial Police Command announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of three individuals accused of trafficking in antiquities during a security operation carried out by a joint team in the province, based on precise intelligence and security information.
The command mentioned in a statement that the operation came after gathering information and monitoring the movements of the suspects, where the force managed to catch them in the act while they were in a vehicle bearing license plates from the province of Wasit.
The statement added that security forces found three archaeological pieces of different shapes and sizes in the possession of the suspects, indicating that initial information suggests that the suspects are residents of Qadisiyyah Province.
The police command confirmed that legal action has been taken against the suspects and they have been handed over to the Organized Crime Directorate according to jurisdiction, to complete the necessary investigations and legal procedures.
