The Judicial Council examines the nature of digital evidence for extortion crimes.

The Higher Judicial Council hosted a large meeting today, Wednesday, to discuss the nature of digital evidence for electronic extortion crimes and the mechanisms to confront them, attended by the judicial supervisor, Judge Nasser Imran, representing the council, along with representatives from the National Security Service, the National Cybersecurity Center, and the Media and Communications Authority.

The Judicial Council stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that the meeting discussed the preparation of a comprehensive guideline that clarifies the nature of digital evidence for electronic extortion crimes and defines the legal ways to deal with them.

It added that the guideline includes a mechanism for the operation of artificial intelligence algorithms capable of forgery and the foundations for dealing with them in the field and judicially, which enhances the efficiency of judicial performance and elevates the level of joint institutional work.
