Iranian-Chinese confirmation in Beijing of support for diplomatic solutions and the reduction of regional tensions.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed today, Wednesday, with the Director of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission's Office and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, enhancing strategic relations between the two countries and regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated in a statement received by Video News Agency that both sides affirmed their firm determination to develop the comprehensive strategic partnership based on mutual respect and trust, and strategic guidance derived from the will of the leaderships of both countries.

It added that the Foreign Minister emphasized Tehran's commitment to defending its sovereignty and national security while welcoming diplomatic solutions and establishing a new regional order based on dialogue and cooperation among regional countries, away from foreign interventions.

It continued that the Chinese Foreign Minister confirmed Beijing's desire to expand the strategic partnership with Tehran and its readiness to play an active role in reducing tensions and securing peace and stability through diplomatic means.
