Egyptian artist Ahmed El Awady revealed new details about his personal life, announcing that he is currently in love and expressing a strong desire to become a father and hear the word "dad" one day.
El Awady said: "I am living a love story right now, and love sweetens life. I hope to hear the word 'dad'."
He also talked about his vision of fatherhood, explaining that if he is blessed with a son, he will ensure to teach him to express his fears and feelings openly. However, if he is blessed with a daughter, he would take on a role closer to that of a friend for her.
Furthermore, during the dialogue, he discussed his perspective on love and romantic relationships, affirming that he has experienced true love more than once in his life. He also reminisced about his parents and his childhood, as well as his relationship with his audience and their impact on his artistic career.
El Awady's statements came days after widespread interaction with the comments made by artist Yara El Sekry during a seminar as part of the Arab Media Summit in Dubai, which was moderated by media personality Neshan.
During the seminar, Neshan asked El Awady and El Sekry about the nature of their relationship, urging them to admit their love for each other. The artist responded, saying that "most successful couples in the artistic field have experienced romantic relationships and genuine feelings of love," which sparked a reaction from the audience.
Following her remark, Neshan commented: "Let's celebrate love and say congratulations," before congratulating the duo, bringing speculations about the nature of their relationship back to the forefront.
On the artistic front, El Awady continues to prepare for his new series "Sultan El Deeb," scheduled to air in the Ramadan season of 2027. The project features several artists, including Sawsan Badr, Rania Youssef, Yara El Sekry, and Lojain Khalifa.
His latest dramatic work is the series "Ali Klay," which aired during Ramadan 2026, while he is awaiting the release of the film "Samson and Delilah," in which he stars alongside Mai Omar, Khaled El Sawy, and Essam El Sakka, belonging to the action and comedy genre.
