The prices of Iraqi and foreign gold rose slightly today, Sunday, in the local markets of the capital, Baghdad, and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
A reporter from the News Video Agency stated that the prices of gold in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in Baghdad recorded a selling price for one mithqal of Gulf, Turkish, and European gold of 21 karats at 922,000 dinars, while the buying price reached 918,000 dinars, compared to 917,000 dinars for selling yesterday, Saturday.
He added that the selling price for one mithqal of Iraqi gold of 21 karats reached 892,000 dinars, while the buying price was recorded at 888,000 dinars.
In jewelry stores, the selling price for one mithqal of Gulf gold of 21 karats ranged between 920,000 and 930,000 dinars, while the selling price for one mithqal of Iraqi gold ranged between 890,000 and 900,000 dinars.
In Erbil, gold prices also witnessed an increase, as the selling price for one gram of 22 karats was about 978,000 dinars, and 21 karats was around 935,000 dinars, while 18 karats was recorded at around 802,000 dinars.
